It’s OK, don’t feel too bad for them! Unless they sub assemble their fascias and lighting at the plant (pretty rare), the most anyone in a BMW plant actually does with regard to turn lamps is clip in the connectors.

The turn signals also work as emergency blinkers when the timing belt inevitably fucks up. So they’re not useless.
